As an avid food lover, I have a special place in my heart for Asian cuisine. There's just something about the mix of flavorful proteins, sauces, and veggies that creates a unique and satisfying experience with every bite. One of my go-to recipes is a simple yet delicious dish that can be whipped up in no time, and the best part is, the ingredients are affordable. It's always a good idea to keep your pantry stocked with noodles because, let's face it, they are versatile and often on sale. The joy of creating a tasty Asian dish at home is unmatched, and it is even more rewarding when it doesn't break the bank. The possibilities are endless, and that's why Asian food will always have a special place on my plate.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 ounces of spaghetti noodles
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup of broccoli florets ( I used frozen)
- Green onions
- 1/4 cup of store bought teriyaki sauce
- 1 tsp of cayenne pepper
- 2 tbsp of oil for cooking
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Start by cooking the spaghetti noodles according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
2. In a large pan or wok, heat 1 tbsp of oil over medium-high heat.
3. Add the shrimp to the pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until they turn pink. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
4. In the same pan, add another tablespoon of oil and toss in the bell peppers, and broccoli. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.
5. Add the cooked spaghetti noodles to the pan and mix in with the vegetables.
6. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the noodles and vegetables and mix well.
7. Add the cooked shrimp back into the pan and mix everything together.
8. Sprinkle cayenne pepper over the stir fry and mix well.
9. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until all the ingredients are heated through.
10. Taste and add salt and pepper to your liking.
11. Serve the shrimp stir fry on a serving plate and garnish with chopped green onions.
